The practice has become rampant, a way of life for the retail industry with few exceptions. Some of us are old enough to remember when you did business at a store the clerk or even the cashier would thank you for your business. These days a cashier will hand you your change and say something like “Here ya go”! Sometime I find myself saying “Thank You” …Then I think, “Thank you for what”? The privilege of spending my hard earned money at YOUR company? It’s become the ‘norm’ to be treated with mediocrity! Our concept of doing business is an old tried and true one. Provide your customers with a fine quality product and treat them with the respect that they deserve.
